Bula Vinaka and Greetings to Pacific members and friends of WACC!

 
 I am writing to share an innovative and important global fundraising drive coordinated by WACC’s global headquarters in Toronto. WACC is participating in this GlobalGiving “Open Challenge” to raise USD 4,000 from at least 50 by April 30. So far WACC has raised USD 1,976 from 35 donors. We need more donations to meet the challenge.

Pacific faith-based communicators call for ecological justice.

WACC-Pacific members have called on church leaders to foster communication on climate change and ecological justice among the Pacific islands communities. In a Declaration issued at the end of their general assembly held in Nuku’alofa, Tonga, July 25 – 30, 2011, the members also called for climate justice issues to be incorporated in general education curriculum and theological formation.
